DS was 3-4 weeks old when he started having issues. He was in the nicu and his nose was sooo stuffy and one of the rts showed me how to use saline and a bulb syring to suck out the mucus. It was thick nasty yellow stuff. And he had sinus infections several times the first year until his cf doctor put him on augmentin for a month to get rid of the infection once and for all so it wouldn't get into his lungs.
His boogies are so thick that I never, EVER saw his nose run until he was 2 1/2 the first time he used pulmozyme. I was amazed.
Since he was 4 we've had him do sinus rinses to clear out some of the mucus.
