I had 5 sinus surgeries to remove pollyps and finally when I was 19, I had my last one. I have not had to have pollyps removed since then and I'm 33. I do have one small pollyp now, but it does not seem to be growing. Maybe your son's will go away when his childhood ends. Makailyn had one sinus surgery, removed turbulants, adnoids, and polyps. Within 6months one ENT said she needed surgery again. We took her for a second opinion and that ENT said, no, she did not need the surgery again now. So I took her to get another opinion and they also said no, not now.
Even though on the CT scan it showed she was completely blocked on one side , and almost completely blocked on the other side. We cont. to daily flushes , which she loves to do,lol (the little goofball).And the steroid sprays, etc. She does have a lot of upper respirotory infections, and she was checked again not to long ago by another ENT and he said, keep doing what we are doing,,,,,,,,(even though he wants to remove her tonsils). That is something we can wait on because she has had a lot of problems with her pancreas and has been put to sleep (general anethesia)2times in the past 4months,,,,,,,and to many hospital trips lately......
