I got bad nasal polyps which grew a fair amount the last few months and they will probably have to be removed soon. I usually never use pain medication but to treat my headache I bought some Ibuprofen (200mg). A pleasant side effect that apart from the pain relieve my nasal polyps noticeably slink and my nose opens up, less mucus is produced... it's like they aren't even up there anymore! When I take 2 200mg's a day my nose feels much calmer.
I'm curious if this anti-inflammation property of Ibuprofen is also something you can find in other types of medication? Maybe medications which are specifically targeted at treating inflammation, instead of these more general painkillers?
