My BF (who has CF) and I have just moved in together and I am concerned that he isn't getting much sleep he isn't coughing or anything I just get worried about his CF/Diabetes like he goes to the toilet about once or twice a night and is very restless does anyone with CF/Diabetes have restless sleep as I get worries about his sugar levels?

Thanks

I have CFRD and during the night I quite often have to get up either to pee or because my bloodsugar is low and I need something to drink.

As a teenager, I would take several shots of vodka before bed to help me pass out (I don't condone this kind of behavior, heh). Since my therapist found out I was doing that, I've been on sleeping pills. That was 5 some-odd years ago.

Nah don't think I will suggest the vodka shots he wouldn't get up for work hehehe I might suggest for him to take some mild sleeping tablets and see if they help I feel bad for him when he gets up for work and he is so tired I also might try putting some oils in a burner is our bedroom

Unless your boyfriend feels tired during the day i wouldnt worry about it. Some ppl just move around alot in their sleep . I know my lots of ppl that are like that when they dream and they dont have health problems. I also get up alot to pee during the night. ihave diabetes but i am also on diuretics as well and they make you pee. If he is having trouble falling asleep or staying asleep, i would try gravol. It makes you drowsy and you cant get addicted to it and it wont hurt you. Its for motion sickness. It works great for me when i cant sleep.

Most of us don't get a whole heck of alot of sleep for various reasons. If he's not feeling crappy (i should say crappier than usual) try not to worry. Just let him know you love him and to LET YOU KNOW if there's a problem. A lot of us suffer quietly about stuff sometimes because we don't want to bother or worry people. I'm sure he'll be happy to know that you love him so much!

Thanks Debbie,

I guess I am a bit of a worry wart and he doesn't want to worry me alot with his CF but we do talk about things it gets hard sometimes when you don't really know what he is going through with his CF because I haven't got it if that makes any sense??

Cheers
