Snow shoveling

I sent my DD out to shovel snow. I know I was in a sweat after only 10 minutes and we were out there for 45 mins or so.
I'm thinking this could replace her vest therapy for at least one session a day similar to when she has soccer or lacrosse.

thoughts?

Hi,

I find shoveling to be very good exercise. I have been shoveling a lot here on the East Coast this winter, and I'm really enjoying it to be quite honest because it gets me outside and moving. I know it's working for my lungs because I have a big coughing fit afterwards. So I've even been out shoveling paths in the grass for the kids to play in (since we have about 2 feet on the ground right now) and also raking the snow off the roof as well. However, I don't know if it would count as CPT though...I'm still doing my CPT normally in addition to shoveling. <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">

I wouldn't say shoveling is like the vest. The vest has impact--jogging might mirror this, but not shoveling.

Exercise...YES!

I would probably count it as a middle treatment honestly. I would still do my routine morning and night b/c those I need, but I would probably count it as a middle treatment especially if she gets a good cardio workout and/or coughs some junk out. And if its just everyonce in a while I think it would be a good change of routine.
