im looking to set up a football team made up of pwcf in ireland would anyone like to set one up if there is not one already that is in the states and hopefully set up matches betweent the irish pwcf and the usa pwcf?
i am hoping to get the pwcf to play in charity matches for cf against anyone at 1st but ideally against celebs,so if ur interested get back to me either through this or through email bsinnott21@hotmail.com.

Bren,

It's such an awesome idea ... with enough corp. sponsers it would very well work .... being that there are enough ppl wit CF who are able to participate .... It's things just like this that need to be done to raise awareness about CF.

Great Idea let me know how it turns out.........

I'm not trying to rain on your parade but isn't football a contact sport? Aren't cfer's supposed to keep a 3 foot distance from each other at all times? I don't think you would be able to get sponsers because this would be going against health protocol as this could be a potential for cross contamination of cf bugs. It was a good thought though. Maybe you could come up with a similar but safer idea to raise money for cf? I hope so!

ya i hate to say it but the last thing i need is to be on a football field running around with other CFers like myself hacking up loogies all over me, like I am on them.

it's a GREAT idea, but i would be horrified of cross-contamination.

American football is a contact sport, English football not so much. Cross contamination is an issue, though. And the reason why so many CF camps shut down is they lost all their support and funding.

I see straight through your thin disguise, though, you are challenging americans to soccer 'cause you know ireland will win. Hah! What about basketball, or baseball? ......... (Fred, no fair starting a japanese baseball team. =-)

hey all
i appricate your concern about the cross infection risk, i never heard that a pwcf has to e at least 3 foot from each other, if that true thats bollox. ht estrict guidelines the we have in place here in ireland we dont have to worry about cross infection,
oh by the way mockingbird soccer is the most popular sport here and the reason i wanted to set it up was so we can get a good holiday to the states he he and have u come over to ireland

hey marcus,
that funny it really is, im a goal keeper and a dam good one even if i do say so my self takes alot to get past me. i just love to play, well we'll have to compmerise a little how about a mixed cf team some from ireland and soem from the states against all sorts of celebs, it would be so hard to get to work, but it is possible, it wud be interesting i still think we'd win

I agree it would be more fun to mix the teams, I used to be a goalie but I liked to run over people to much so I was put in as a sweeper/fullback. It was a lot of fun! My family is from Ireland (dad is straight off the boat) so I could not beat on the irish to much since they are family LOL

I doubt your Irish CF team would have much trouble with the U.S. national squad!
