soccer practice

This may not be the answer that you like but if he wants to go I would send him. My son is 8 and has played soccer since he was 4 years old. There will be times when it is hot outside and you just have them brings a lot of water and takes a break or two if needed. My husband coaches but he is smart enough to know that he can't push any kid if it is that hot out. Fortunetly he has always been able to keep up so this hasn't been a problem for him. I would just be aware that if it is like our league if he doesn't come to practice the coach does not have to let him start or play. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the replies. I made the desision that I was not taking him and then the coach called and told me he was taking my advise and canceling. Our leauge has a rule that everyone has to play 50% of every game no matter what which can be a good thing and a bad. We only have one leauge here but this will be his last year in this town as we are moving. Next year I will coach so this doesn't happen again. Live and learn I geuss. This is the only sport he likes to play so I want to let him play soccer for as long as he can.
