It is key to teaching him now what is and what isn't negotionable and you will be surprised later on how he will do his treatments because they are just good habits that you developed early on in the very beginning. Be sure to find things that he can negotiate over to make up for the non-negotionables and life will be easier when he becomes a teen. At least it worked for us, we very rarely if ever fight over treatments but sometimes negotiate the timing so that he can do stuff with his friends sometimes.
