Something I hope may lift some people spirits...

Hello my name is Emma. I'm from Ireland, I've posted a couple of posts on here the last while. I've noticed a lot of posts being focused on the bad stuff of CF. Which I completely get, I sure do get my days where I am down and worried about what this illness can do to us, but I wanted to show you guys something on a more positive note. I sing and write songs, and this one specifically I like to relate to my fight against CF. I just posted it to YouTube, it's called 'Follow the Rainbow'. If you'd like to watch the video you can find it here:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E8KP6N1lzPU

In the video I state at the beginning that I wrote the song thinking about the pain of rejection from trying to pursue a music career. I really wrote it to help me through those bad CF days when I'm on IV's and my lung function drops and everything just gets a little bit scary. I don't want to tell my subscribers about my condition. I'm afraid it'd act as a disincentive for labels to potentially take me on, and I also don't want to seem like I'm playing the sympathy card either. I'm sure you guys can understand. Anyway it's an up beat song, and I wanted to share it with you guys in the hopes it might lift some of your spirits and encourage you to keep fighting and go after what you want from life even though you have to simultaneously fight CF. Anyway don't feel obliged to watch it. Only if you want! Hope you guys are doing well :)

Awesome!

Great song and you have a very good voluminous clear voice. I like how you go from when talking softly sounding like a CF'er (to the trained ear..) to then singing so good and open with no detectable CFness.
Singing must really be good mhm.

So thanks for the song and I hope you can pursue your career in music. Did you think about recording and producing your own album?

Thank you all so much! I'm so happy you guys enjoyed it!

Twistofchaos: Thank you I hope I can pursue a career in music too. It's just so challenging and with meds it makes it so hard to travel, but one step at a time. Music is what I live for so I I'll find a way :) I've a couple tracks produced, probably enough for an EP. It's just so difficult to get companies on board so I'm not sure what to do with the tracks yet.

gwo8385: Thanks so much I'm so glad you like the song! And that it lifted your spirits! Of course I don't mind that you shared it, thank you!

CrisDopher: Thank you for watching and again, I'm so happy you like the song :) As I just said above, I have some tracks produced just a nightmare tryna get people on board after that, but I'll get there!

Thanks again you guys for watching I really appreciate it. There's no bigger compliment you can receive than when someone says they enjoy your music! So thank you. You've all made my day :) And I'm so happy I could momentarily cheer a couple of people up, the power of music huh? :)

Emma! Thank you so much for your song! My girls and I have been humming it all day! It so happens that you look very much like one of my daughters, except a grown-up version. She is 8, has CF, and is musically inclined, too. You were quite an inspiration to her, and to our whole family. We want a CD!!!!

Wow emma, great songs, I had a look at just about everything you have posted on you tube. I especially liked that cover of 'Wide awake', Katie Perry should be quaking in her boots if she hears this.
Oh, And your cover of Bohemian rhapsody, well need I say more!
Have you considered BGT or x-factor, you would do well. As a song writer look how well that lassie 'Sproggan' is doing in the competion this year ( and she cant hold a candle to you)

Gosh I can't thank you all enough for your support it means the world to me!

TreasureGoddess: I'm delighted you guys like it thank you for your support!

JustDucky: Thank you I hope you're right!

RunningMan: Thank you for your encouragement, if I could inspire some of you guys hopefully it works for others too!

Carriekit: I'll have a CD someday I promise! & I hope your daughter follows a musical path too! It's so worth it :)

Jet: I'm so glad I made some difference to your week I know it's not much but I'm so happy it cheered you up. I hope you're doing well.

Dyzaman: Thank you! I can't believe you watched some of my other videos I really appreciate it. And in regards to the televised 'talent' competitions, I'm incredibly wary of their intentions. I don't think they have the contestants best interest's at heart. But you never know I might someday, thank you! & I love Lucy Spraggan!
