Does anyone have any special remedies to help a sore throat and scratchy voice?

It's for my boyfriend...he hasn't been able to talk in 3 days and he has tried all the throat drops and sprays and nothing is working.

I recommend gargling with warm salt water to break up whatever might be sitting in there (like post nasal drip) then drink hot tea with honey to sooth the rawness. Of course it would want to rinse his mouth first....salt water & tea=YUCK!

Hope its nothing serious!

I know this may sound a bit odd but when i get a sore throat i always gargle about 5-6 times a day with Listerine. The more bacteria i attack in my throat , the faster the sore throat goes away. Might not be for everyone
