soreness around my feeding tube

I just had a g-tube put in two weeks ago, so I'm a bit sore still, too. I bought the version of bacitracin that has a local anesthetic in it as well. I've been putting that on the site twice a day when I clean it and it has been doing a fairly good job. Other than that I take Tylenol if it's really bothering me, but the past few days have been pretty much pain-free.

What you use depends on why it is sore. If it is red or raw, it could be irritation from leaking acid. It could also be the beginning of granulation tissue. With either of these, we've use stomahesive powder (from the GI doc). It dries up the area and heals the raw skin.
