Speaking about CF at fundraiser

I actually live in Philadelphia now but my parents live in RI and are very active so I like to go up there to support them and there fundraisers. It gives them a big kick to be able to show me off to the people she's been working with all year. I went to the Great Strides walk in Roger Williams too Katy and Amy!!

Christian, The golf tournament was at Richmond Country Club in Hope Valley, RI. It's a great little event - very personal and not terribly expense ... I think $125/person. Contact the RI chapter if you are interested in being involved next year or just want to get out and golf with a bunch of CF supporters!!

Haley thanks!! You should speak next year! It feels so good to give back in a way that's so much more powerful than opening up your checkbook..unless your checking acct. has a lot more money than mine - ha!! After I spoke they did the live auction and I couldn't help but wonder if the people betting were influenced by my speech.

I'll post the speech in the next few days.

I asked b/c my hubby's uncle and wife are semipro golfers from Rhode Island and they do tons of golf related stuff there.

AND-Of all coincidences L, I also drove up to RI friday night and stayed over to attend that uncle's wedding Saturday night-which was at a huge golf course. When I read you were there, I almost choked!!!!! I mean, RI is a small state after all. No, it turns out it wasn't the same golf course. But maybe we stopped at the same rest stop-weren't there like 1000 McDonald's on the way?!! Like every 5 miles.
Who knows, maybe we saw eachother and didn't realize it.
