Hi ladies......and gentlemen <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">. I know I've seen threads about whether or not your insurance covered your spouse/significant other's carrier screening, but I have a slightly more specific question.
For those of you whom's insurance denied it, did you try to appeal it?? I am just wondering because insurance denied my husbands carrier screening and I'm wondering if there's any chance it's worth fighting? I am fully aware that every plan is different, but thought maybe I could get some ideas if someone had successfully appealed it! It's really frustrating because they would be so much better off paying for the carrier screen than paying for a child born with CF! I guess they don't see it that way!
I'm pretty sure that we'll end up paying out of pocket for it, but thought it was worth a shot to see if anyone had any tips!! I was so hopeful they'd pay for it because we were lucky so far in that they paid for my HSG (actually 2 HSGs, long story)and my lab work.
Thanks in advance for your response!!
