Can you explain what Ibprofen levels are? I've never heard that term and wonder if you mean C-reactive protein? That's a marker of infection and could be clue as to whether your son is fighting off something.

Melissa,
Austin is on ibprofen therapy. He takes 1200 mg daily. Every so often they check his levels to make sure he is getting enough or getting too much. They said normal is between 10-50 and his was 53. The doc said that was good.
The nurse called back and said that the doc told her to tell me that the Haemophilus Para Influenza is a good bug or him and that if he had to culture anything that would be a bug to have.
So I guess things are all good! <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">

Thank you! Now I understand. I have read about Ibuprofen therapy--it really seems to help slow lung damage. So, I am glad Austin's levels are good and that the dr is not worried about the Haemophilus.
