Sputum Culture

Does anyone know anything about Haemophilis Para Influenza? I called today to see what Austins sputum culture was and she said scant growth of staph (which is normal for him) and Haemophilis Para Influeza. She said she didn't think they treated it. He has cultured the Haemophilis Influenza before but not with the Para she said.

His ibprofen level was 53 and normal for him would be 10-50 so she is checkin with the doc on that too for me.

I spelled that wrong. It's Haemphilus Para Influenza and he cultured moderate growth. If that helps. thanks for any help.

Hey Paula,I wish I could be of some help. But, Makailyn cultured Haemophilus Influenza, but they never used the Para in it. Maybe you could call the nurse and get more specific with them about the Pari. I just think of a Pari neb cup when you hear that,but it must mean something different here.
I hope your little one is doing well. I would be worried if the doctor doesn't know if they should treat it or not
