Have things changed that much in the last Mmmmm 18 yrs? Our docs told us enzymes should be taken with fat AND protein. That these are the two things that are not absorbed well in CF'ers.
I am trying to think back those 17.5-18 yrs. Can't recall even looking at the nutrional content of babyfood back then. I remember looking at the different cereals, that's what I started first. Natural fruits, like you said don't really need any enzymes. Especially if you are making your own food. If you end up adding any butter or oil to the vegetables (when you get to them) then you will need to consider the enzymes. Trying to think if any vegetables have protein. Boy that nutrition class would be handy about now. If you give your baby, say.... mashed potatoes or mashed sweet potatoes, usually you will have mashed them with dairy of some sort, there's your fat. Something to consider in the coming months, not right now as you are just starting out.
Happy eating/feeding.
