Hi! I'm Jenny, I'm 24 and I've been married almost two years now. My husband and I (and my doctor!) have decided that it's time to start TTC. So I started charting today and we'll get our first chance in a couple of weeks. I have never had an irregular period in the 12 years since I started, so I'm hopeful that my woman parts are functioning well! <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif" border="0"> I think I want to wait a couple of months before trying Robitussen, just to see if we can do it without (I also despise the taste of that stuff).
My FEV1 is around 55% when I'm healthy right now, so I'm definitely borderline in terms of acceptable health. But my doctor has no reservations, and I don't either. Being a mom has always been my biggest and deepest desire. I am of course nervous about what the pregnancy will do to my lungs, so I would love to hear experiences from anyone that has gotten pregnant with less than stellar numbers.
My husband and I have decided that I will only have one child naturally. Depending on how the first one goes, we may consider adopting later on, but I know my health will only be able to take one pregnancy. Has anyone here talked with their doctor about getting their tubes tied after the baby is born?
I guess that's it for now! Oh, and my husband was tested and came out negative as a carrier. I know we still have a slight chance, but I feel a lot better knowing that the odds are with us.
