I heard on the news that President Bush vetoed the stem cell research bill again. When showing a clip of his response after doing so he states "to take a life to save a life is unethical".
I dont want this to turn into a political/Bush bashing debate. I dont know what this bill entailed for him to make that statement so could someone help me. I know an arguement against it has been the concern of increased abortions. WHy would they think that? Will the woman get a stipend for terminating their pregnancies & donating/selling the remains?
I will admit that I am a bit naive about how the anti stem cell research side is thinking. IF they have valid reasons I would like to know them. IF they are just working off of their "moral" thoughts I would like to know that also.
Any input from you wordly, politically involved & knowledgable people?
