i first cultured out steno malt a few years ago. my strain is pretty much resistant to everything, but with the few drugs that work on it, we've managed to knock it back enough that it hasn't shown up in cultures for almost 6 months now. it's just one more bacterium to fight off.

I grow out Steno most of the time now. IT is very resistant and with my various med allergies, it is even tougher to treat. These days I am also growing out A. xylosoxidans which is another resistant bug (thankfully my cepacia isn't really giving me trouble as that one tends to be fairly resistant as well). I tend to feel more run down whenever it gets out of control, like now and IV's are the only thing that works for me. My cough is usually crappier too.
I hope your cooties are under control soon.
