Step daughter has flu

It is only Monday...I would not stress about it until later in the week. Like they said...24 hours of no fever people are told they can return to work/school which means they are no longer contagious. If she still has a fever on Wed, then I would tell the mother that she needs to stay home this weekend.
I can't believe the hospital has not thought to test for H1N1. You would think they would.
Sorry, I have no step children, it's gotta be hard!
Good luck, I hope you can keep the germs out of your home for your little ones sake! I am already freaking about the family get togethers this year. Birthday dinner coming up...think I may leave my 5 mo old home with dad while me and my other go to the dinner. Don't need her exposed to more people than necessary! It is tough.

I do think your stepdaughter should be tested for h1n1 and for the sake of her health be given the chance to be started on Tamiflu if needed! (Btw, even though vomiting and diarrhea is not typically a major component of seasonal flu, it is being seen in some with h1n1.). However, I do agree with everyone that it's early in the week... hopefully she'll be doing much better in a few days.
