Or there's Amy (Noexcuses) methods. A deep fryer to boil nebs. Of course we have have to get a new one because DH used it to make french fries for DS this summer. <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">

the pressure cooker seems to be working good for us...if you are driving and have room, that could be an option too...

blessings,
missa

If you can, the disposables are the way to go. But, we couldn't when we went to Disney because Em does Pulmozyme and was in the ISIS study at that time. We had a Family Suite with a microwave, so we just boiled them there like we do at home. We shipped enough distilled water along with some other stuff to the resort before we left home, and packed our usual bowl that we boil in. It worked out great, and Disney was great about getting our package to us as soon as we arrived.

One more thing I always mention about Disney. If you're staying on the grounds, they were great about getting us a brand new shower head so I didn't have to worry about what might be growing in the one that was already in the room. They also gave us a set of Brand new linens every night for Emily's bed because she is sensitive to the smell of laundy detergents. They were fantastic about these things.

Enjoy your trip!

We went to Egypt a few years ago and clean water was not a guarantee nor was a microwave. The disposables were great. To be honest they were great for Disney this year too bc I didn't want to be stuck in my room sterilizing while on vaca. I did the hospital 'thing' which is disposable nebs, but use the same ones for the entire days treatment. (one for albuterol 2x, one for hyp saline 2x, one for pulmozyme)

I really like the disposable idea... I'm going to look into that. Thanks for the great advice. Thank God that there is this place for questions that no one at clinic thinks of.

I just purchased the Avent Bottle Sterilizer and LOVE it!! No more boiling!! It saves lots of time and looks real cute sitting on the counter. I kept the box so I can pack it up when we travel.

I do not worry about sterilizing them when on vacation. I just wash them up with soap and hot water. If you do want to sterlize them and have access to a microwave which nowadays all hotel rooms seem to have them. Put water in a bowl and put in mircorwave and get the water to boil. then take the dish out and drop in all your neb pieces. Do not put neb pieces in the microwave. I have heard you can do this... Good luck!
