Someone on another site was having some similar issues. DS is on ursodiol and when he was put on it for his liver his doctor mentioned that when he's in his teens they'll probably start doing ultrasounds on his because of possible issues with gallstone, sludge, etc.

I too get gassy every time I eat. I now take omeprazole (OTC-prilosec) daily, which has helped significantly. Before, about the only thing I could eat without serious gas issues was "hard" meats like steak and pork (nothing chopped up though). I highly recommend it, with your docs permission though. My doc actually put me on protonix for the reason, but it is close to 100 a month, the generic omeprazole is about 25 every month and a half, so I switched and it is just as effective.
