So Maggie has been complaining of a sore throat; tickle in her throat, does look a little red inside. Started last week; no fever. appetite good. SHe's tired cause she woke up early from her cough; you can hear she has extra mucus on board. Any how; I called her CF doc and asked to double up her Bactrim, he said fine.<div><br></div><div>Now I'm second guessing myself. Could she have strep and no fever? Usually you do not cough with strep throat(talking non Cf'ers since Maggie has never had strep). I mean you could have a sore throat from coughing and a virus. </div><div><br></div><div>I made an appointment with her regular pediatrician for tomorrow to have her swabbed for strep but I #1 hate bringing her in to the doc #2. I get afraid they are going to mess around with her too much; ie prescribe something unnecesary. Yada.</div><div><br></div><div>I guess I could always cancel the appointment for tomorrow if her sore throat is better, but I know Bactrim doesn;t cover strep.</div><div><br></div><div>When my non CF child has strep; he is obviously sick; high fever, no appetite. and no cough.</div><div><br></div><div>WWYD</div>
