<span style="font-family: 'Verdana','sans-serif'; color: black; font-size: 8.5pt;">Does anyone stretch the muscles around their rib cage to loosen them up and breathe better? Here in lockup I was at pt today and the therapist showed me some stretches that focus on the upper spine and rib muscles that after about 15 minutes of doing them I seriously felt like I had just finished a breathing treatment. I don't know how to describe them in writing but it would definitely be worth your time. Lay on your side and reach your arm to stretch the muscles around your rib cage, if you feel it much in your arm or lower back adjust until you feel the stretch mostly in your ribs. I was trying to find a good article online about it but I couldn't find one. I've always been the sort that never put much stock into PT for cf patients but this legitimately works. If someone knows what I'm talking about and can do a better job of describing it or knows of an article it your imput would be appreciated
