has been cough free for a few weeks now!<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">
He had an adenoidectomy 5 weeks ago and it seems to have helped,
although his sinuses are still terribly congested.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">  I know from past experiences that he does so
much better in the summer, but once the weather turns cooler, we are fighting
infection after infection.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">  I'm hoping the
adenoidectomy is part of the cause of DS currently being sick-free, not just because
it's summer.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">  Does anyone else notice
that they are sick less often in the summer?<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">
Has anyone had an adenoidectomy that helped cut down on the number of
infections?<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com<img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-blush.gif" border="0">ffice<img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-blush.gif" border="0">ffice" /><o<img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-tongue.gif" border="0">></o<img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-tongue.gif" border="0">></font><font color="#000000" size="3" face="Times New Roman">

Yes, I notice that summers are better around here as well. Two summers ago my daughter did have to do IVs, but all the other summers have been very healthy ones.

About 5 years ago I noticed a trend starting. I was always getting hospitalized in April and then again in September/October. Nothing ever happened in the summer, but it always managed to be at the end of a college semester and right before midterms!

I work in a school. I am less sick in summer b/c I am not around 600 kids (many of whom are sick and carrying germs) and in a poorly ventilated space. Is DS a school student? It may be DS is better b/c he/she is not around sick kids.

DS is an upcoming 2nd grader. He goes to an all day camp about 2 times a week during the summer, so he's not around other kids as much as he is during the school year, good point. I was able to find a pattern as well, it seems like just about every April/May and every November DS comes down with a bad case of Pneumonia. As hot as it is, sometimes I just wish it would stay summer!
