<P>Do you have favorite tips, advice, or stories for kids with CF going to summer camp? Tips can be directed to a kid going to camp as well as ideas for parents. I am compiling a bunch of tips and would love your input. </P>
<P>Here is my webage that already has a good start with (free) resources including a letter to share with camp counselors about CF. </P>

I think that's a great idea. <div>I went to a camp that our Presbytery owns. The camp nurse/doctor/surgeon (one time it was a neurosurgeon. His son had diabetes and was camping that week too, so he volunteered to be the camp medical person for the week) is definitely worth getting to know at check in as a parent. Lots of times you probably won't get to know them earlier (we went to this camp earlier in the spring to register during a family day thing) because, as was the case with this camp, many of them donate their time for a camp week or two. Get cell phone numbers if you're a helicopter parent, drag your kid over to meet them, the like. </div><div><br></div><div>Kids might have to take their treatments at the nurse's station. Honestly, I liked this- as an only child I'm not used to never being by myself, never having quiet, excetera. Plus, the nurse is allowed to have things like laptops. I watched Spiderman and Spiderman II one summer at camp. </div><div><br></div><div>Then leave, and DON'T WORRY. </div>
