Surrogate mother !

Hi !
I wonder if anyone here has been with a child trough a surrogate mother ? Here in Sweden it´s not leagal to get help that way. That is frustrating that it is that way, because me and my husband probably wont get any help to have a biological child. Im transplanted and here in Sweden there is no one who are lungtransplanted who has delivered a child yet. The doctors aren´t to happy about me and my husbands wish to get a child by help. We was trying to have a child by adoption, but the investigators said no becuase of my cf. We are really in the middle and can´t do anything right now <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif" border="0">

Hello. I don't have experience with surrogacy. I do know several CF parents though. And many of them have adopted children. Two families that come to mind were able to successfully adopt (more than once!) from China.

Congratulations on your transplant. I wish you many many healthy years to be shared with your husband and maybe a baby or two, no matter where they come from.

mom2lillian...well, maybe we can. But I don´t know how the Swedish gouverment will say about that and what rights we have in this issue. Can you recommend a website to look at in this subject ? I hope someone who has use a surrogate mother will reply here.
