Dear Ennio,

My name is Ryan, iTunes Gifts, Gift Cards, and Gift Certificates may be used only in the country in which they were purchased. I'm sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused.

Thank you for using iTunes, and have a great day!

Sincerely,

Ryan
iTunes Store Customer Support

Ok so we still have work to do to figure this out...sorry all our neighbors in Canada, Australia and Europe and?...we'll get it right!

Any ideas?

Jeanne

I was actually very dissapointed while doing the survey...

Reasons why were:
1. I don't have CF support in Japan
2. I can't use any iTunes, Amazon.com gift certificates from Japan. (my family gave me amazon.com gifts, but while trying to redeem them, I was told I can't do it through amazon.co.jp. I can't have stuff shipped to me via the amazon.com, so I'm stuck between a rock and a hard surface!)
3. I don't even think those medications, etc., in question are even AVAILABLE in Japan.
4. I don't even think my health insurance would cover it, since it is social insurance paid by the government, not by private insurance companies like in the States. Some cases, they won't cover pre-conditions, but since I have no CF support, I don't know if this one may even apply.
5. The fact I'm surviving without CF care is a miracle...but how much longer will that MIRACLE last?!

I did the survey due to an invite, and from curiosity. Whether I'll do any future surveys or not depends on the topic.

As for other ideas to getting gift certificates out, in the case of Amazon.(your country), sending gift certificates to that domain would make them redeemable, but applying for them, I'm not sure other than if they have an english page to navigate through for making the certificates.

Hi Fred,

Sorry to hear all this about being in Japan! Geesh. How do you do it without getting CF care? Man oh man.

I bet Jeanne will figure out how to extend the survey gifts to Japan and other places outside the US. My fingers are crossed for you.

The survey never asked whether it was known to be available in the country I live in or not...it just asked whether my doc knew about it or not...and franky, my doc isn't a CF specialist so he doesn't know about it.
I did find a home page in japan regarding the 100 japanese CF'rs. However, the info is still limited, and as stated previously, there are no CF centers in Japan!
