Sweat Test help please

My son (5 years old) is going in tomorrow for his 5th attempt at a sweat test. Is there anything I can do to increase the odds of him sweating? All four times, they didn't even get a drop! I've been making sure he is very very hydrated all day, and he'll be drinking a whole lot before the test tomorrow, too. But are there any tips that you've heard of to try to make sure we don't have to do this a 6th time? Any advice would be greatly appreciated...Thank you!!

They should be putting little electrodes on him that help produce sweat. Sometimes they have trouble with younger kids, but if the electrodes don't do it, I can't think of anything you could do that would help.

Why are you on the 5th time anyways? Ask for a genetic blood test, they're much more reliable.

Em's right.

Get a genetic test (Ambry Amplified is the test you should ask for).

Sweat tests give mixed results and are no where as accurate as a genetic test can be

We have done the ambry testing, I don't think it was the amplified one though. Those results were neg. But the doc still wants to get a negative sweat test before we completely rule out CF. They used the electrode things on all the previous tests and he just would not sweat. Hopefully he will tomorrow so we can figure out if he's got it or not. Thanks.
