sweat test ?

We received a letter in the mail today from the center where we will be getting a 2nd opinion. They are also redoing CJ's sweat test. In the info they sent me, it described the sweat test and how it is done. The pamplet clearly says that AT LEAST 50 mg of sweat has to be collected for accurate testing.
When we did CJ's sweat test last month, the records say that they only collected 35mg of sweat from 1 arm and 38 from the other. Does that mean the test wouldn't be accurate? Wouldn't it be incomplete? They told me it was borderline(low 40's)
Would more sweat collected make a difference?

I don't know for sure, but intuitively, I'd think that if it didn't have enough sweat and still registered as elevated sweat chloride, that with enough sweat you would be looking at a more accurate result.

My daughter had her sweat test done last week. The girl administering the test said that they had just increased the amount of sweat required. That could be why the difference in amounts. Not sure if the change was across the board or what. Good question to ask the new center. Let us know!

It says 50mg is REQUIRED and CJ's test was the end of May so if it was changed, they were still wrong. Why wouldn't they just redo the test there or at least tell me they didn't have enough??
I'm so glad we are going somewhere else and redoing it.
