Sweating

Last week Noah's BMC teacher called me "just to let me know" that Noah had been sweating all day long. The reason she called is...Noah RARELY sweats, and it has to be really hot and humid, and he has to be playing real hard. She was concerned b/c its so unusual. Should I be worried? Do ya'll think this could be a sign of something bigger being wrong? She also mentioned that he was alternating between super-hyper and lethargia. I don't know whether I should call the pedi or GI or somebody about it.

He probably needs some salt or gatorade. Last summer DS' baseball hat turned white from all the salt he sweated out and the year before his hair would be sticky and there would be salt crystals at his hairline. We send a salt shaker along to his preschool and they also make sure they have crackers and plenty of water for him. In the summer DS comes home from his summer activities and takes hits from our salt shaker.

my daughter sweats terribly!!! i was advised to give her one of those "little packets of salt" like you get in a restaurant in 2 of her bottles daily. and when she is sweating she drinks tons of water!!...at our cf awareness day alot of parents were talking about how bad their children sweat. i wouldnt worry myself, but you might mention it at your next visit and they can give you some more insight into it. God Bless.

I have a hard time believing that it's not somehow related to CF.
