Swollen, stiff, painful fingers/hands

Thanks everyone, I have some great information to work with now. I have an appointment in a week, I'll talk to my doc and see what she has to say about it.

I often get the fingers locking & painful.. Not so much swollen , maybe a little..

I believe it is cf related arthritis too. You should probably go to your primary care dr. and/or a rheumatalogyst (sp) There are several things that fall under that category such as lupus, fibromyalgia, reheumatoid nodules, osteoarthritis , gout etc..

This seems to explain so much to me... I have always had some pain (especially when I'm sick) in my hips, and docs over the years have said it's impossible for me to have arthritis, (RA) they've done all the testing. But the pain I feel is genuine, and this does seem to offer some answer. -And now that I think on it, it does seem worse on Cipro. But I'm on cipro when I'm sick.. so...?
