Our doctor strongly recommeded it. I fought with out insurance company and took it all the way to arbitration. I lost but Parker got the shots and did not get RSV. I think it was the right thing to do at the time and I would do it again. Fight the insurance company on this issues by any means necessary. My personal favorite was bringing Parker to the meetings. He was crawling and grabbing phone cords and stuff. I swear I thought one of the insurance execs was going to pass out when I changed his diaper on their conference table (boy did it stink). Maybe I am being petty but if they are going to deny care, make them spend as much as you can to fight it. They had a budget for legal fights and they had to fly their attorney to New Orleans for arbitration. I represented myself and Parker. They plan to pay the attorney for these things. If it is not used it is profit. I did not give them a profit from this.

My Bridget had synagis last winter at a similar age, specifically at the recommendation of her pulmonologist who is the director of the pediatric CF clinic at UCSF. So at least some CF doctors at certified CF centers do recommend it for CF babies.
