Tattoo?

I am looking to get a tattoo on the top of my foot and was wondering if anyone could tell me if this is a good idea or not. I am 21 and have CF. I do not have diabetes that I am aware of (I heard people with diabetes probably shouldn't get tattoos below the knee due to something about circulation problems) and was curious if a tattoo on the foot might affect my health in any way now or later on down the road. Give me some opinions!

Thanks in advance!

Hey, I dont think theres any problem with getting a tattoo on your foot. I do have two tattoos, though neither are on my feet. I do know there are tons of people on here with tattoos though.

The only time doctors told me I couldnt get a tattoo was after I got transplanted.

Hi, I do have diabetes and do have 6 tattoos and several piercings, including a massive full back tattoo, but like Anna I have none on me feet, and I have had no issues of any kind with any of me body mods. Oh and as for pants down and sliding on ice, I did snow angels in the nude lol, wow that was cold and hilarious lol.

Katelyn,

I also, like many on this site, do have several tattoos. I am diabetic also, but that has not stopped me either I do not have any on my feet, but I do have them on both of my ankles. I had no difficulties during the healing process related to circulation or infection. I have had them both several years. Just care for them as you would any other healing break in the skin. Personally I plan on getting at least one more in my future. Good luck with whatever you decide!

Yea, I had no problems with them healing...I think they healed better than cuts or incisions. The only thing is that they itch like CRAZY when they're healing! Be careful, they ARE addictive haha no matter how much you tell yourself you'll only get one...dont count on sticking to that.

I also have multiple tattoos and have had no problems. Most important thing is to find a place that is clean and properly sterilizes and handles tools (as anyone should do) and follow the instructions you are given on how to care for it while it heals. And I definitely agree with the above, you may find yourself collecting more down the road :)
