although i'm not a tx recipient, nor do i have cf... i have to say this. most doctors will tell you not to get a tattoo regardless of whether you were just tx'd or not. there is always a risk for infection. make sure you go to a reputible tattoo shop and i don't think you will have any issues. your docs may not be too happy with it, but you will be

p.s. i have 10, and every time i go see my doctor he always asks if there are any more

I completely agree with the last poster about going to a reputable place, that goes without saying...

All needles these days are single use only, so the risk of infection is very minimal.

Follow the intructions given to you by your artist and generally you won't have any issues...

I could not have faulted where I went to get my tattoo, and honestly his palour was cleaner then my hospital, and that isn't exaggerating!!!

I have also done a fair few piecings as well, all of which didn't get infected...

Most drs just don't like tattoo's fullstop which is more the reason for them saying no to them, it's their personal view on them not necessarily their medical view. My dr was great, he agreed that I could get a tattoo, but i dont think he expected one quite so big haha

Good luck
