the answer to your question is what ever you feel comfortable with. I know you would rather a more specific answer, but really, thats the answer. Do as much or little as you feel comfortable with.

We do a letter campaign. We write about Emily over hte past year and try to make the CFF personal by including what we use that has come from their research. Then talk about whats coming new and why the CFF is a good chartable organization. I think they are an excellent chartable organization as far as effiency and making sure they are using money wisely. We send the letter to both friends and family and have done pretty well over hte past couple of years.

Our walk is over an hour away so we don't get into trying to find sponsers for the walk itself.

Hi Sarah,

Ever one has to do what they can do, and judge that themselves. Weston is two. He was diagnosed in April. Two days later I called the CFF and signed us up to walk. In six weeks we raised a ton of money. I sent the letter to everyone I knew. Old neighbors, co-workers, family, friends, etc. The more you send out the more you get back.

To be honest that year was the easiest for me because our struggle was so fresh in my mind (he was in the hospital a lot). The second year was harder because now I had to do it all over again, when I just wanted to enjoy his health. I still did it and we pulled in more cash, but this is what I feel I NEED to do. It is a personal decision. I feel that fundraising helps give me some control over the disease. Other people see it as a reminder.

I think the important thing to do is what you think is best for you, and don't take it too seriously. I found myself getting upset with people who didn't donate and I have learned that it just isn't healthy to take that route. Good luck!
