Telling people about Cystic Fibrosis?

think about other people you know, or imagine them if you don't know any, who have health problems of a similar level of seriousness. I think of cancer, diabetes, junior onset arthritis.

Would you care if a friend had something like that? I thought about this and realised that no, of course I wouldn't mind at all.

Also - it's been shown that more open people tend to be happier. That could be coincidence, but it could mean something...

good question! I tell everyone that I feel would benefit from knowing. All of my friends, my staff, most of my acquaintances, actually almost every new respiratory therapist in the southern state knows because I have been their example in school. I have not however told my employer, my former employers knew but I opted not to tell my new owner. Our company is privately owned and insured, that means he has to pay for my bills. I have been discriminated twice from other jobs and do not care to go through it again. There are laws but they have to be enforced, and who is going to pay my mortgage while I am litigating for discrimination.

A prime example, they raised everyone Rx co-pays this year because last year our Rx costs went up a million dollars, yep at least 100,000 were mine!
What do you think they would do if they knew I was the problem, raise their premiums or fire me?
