Terrible, TERRIBLE CF Clinic!

I too am starting to realize, unfortunately, that "accredited" seems to mean very little. I recently attended a clinic that hasn't had a stable adult director (its a military clinic so turnover is awful... add to that the director of the "center" deploying a year out of her 3-year tour and you can see how this is a MAJOR problem.) I'm wondering HOW these clinics keep their accredidation... does anyone know? I mean, the CFF.org site has a different doc for that military clinic as the director (someone who hasn't been there in over 3 years), so I loose a bit of faith that they're not even updating the docs/contact info.

Either way, I agree, a letter to CFF would be a good idea, but I just wouldn't hold my breath that they'll do anything about it.

I would love if someone could point me to a place that shows how the clinics keep their accredited status with CFF. Is there anywhere to find this out? Like, what checks and balances are in place to make sure they're doing what they should, etc.

Best of luck at a new clinic. I just switched a month ago and am soooo glad I did! Don't ever feel bad about switching or getting another opinion.

Oh, and I did want to ask: If they didn't do cultures but just threw Laci on abx when she was sick, how did they know which meds her bugs were sensitive to??? I always do a culture and they use that (or the most recent one) to know which meds to treat with.

I did contact the CFF a few years ago about our local accreditted clinic on a specific concern; however, from what I hear from others who still go there, things haven't changed. I figure that at least I had my say and maybe someday someone may look into why a good number of people in our area choose to travel 250+ miles for care instead of going local.
