I am not sure that you need to know for sure about the CF diagnosis to proceed because as others have said, those procedures are done for any number of reasons. I think I would just want to know the total "plan", though and what the pros and cons are for each procedure--that is how my husband and I came to our decision. We did not want any unneeded procedure done, but we also did not want him to have to go in for multiple surgeries.
