I've had some Cycle Day 3 bloodwork done that tests for things like luetenizing hormone and follicle stimulating hormone. It's no different than normal blood work.
CF can affect your cycles in that, when you are sick, you may not ovulate regularly. This is just your body's way of saying "I think I'll hold off on pregnancy for now." <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif" border="0"> Also, if you are underweight, this can affect your hormones and cause you to not ovulate regularly.
