Just interested in infection control in other CF centers. In Houston it was very strict and comforting to know that they were doing all possible for this. At my new center (due to moving to another state), I see no infection control except the doctor and techs maybe santizing hands. Baylor had the patient wear gloves when doing PFT's and other things. Also, Baylor gave the patient a computer read out of all the PFT"s and not just FEV1 written on a piece of paper. Baylor also gave the patient a graph comparing FEV1's over years so the patient could see the trend in their disease. This was a line graph. Baylor also had goodies almost each visit such as hand santizer, booklets, nebulizer cups, organizers for your records, etc. Do other centers do this? My new center does none of this and it is in a major city.
