Thalassemia and CF partners

<span style="font-size: large;">If one partnerr has thalassemia minor(carrier) and another partner has cf minor(carrier) would their kids get talassemia or cystic fibrosis? Please if anyone here could help.

Probably not since they're both autosomal recessive disorders which means a defective gene must be passed down from each parent for the disease to present. Having said that, cases of symptomatic carriers have been reported with both conditions.
