When I read the title to the thread, my first thought was that I'd always follow that deep breath with a heaving cough! (and wake darling up from her beauty sleep!)
I've had some days where I'd wake up and as I'd take in a breath, feel a little bit of soreness in my ribs, but then realize I was practicing my Aikido the night before, and was a little sore cause I was working with the instructor, and he really threw me on the mat hard, one time. (but that was a long time ago)
The wife often suggests I stretch my limbs, etc., and probaby taking at least one deep breath is probably good, too. Wish I lived closer to the countryside, for a little bit cleaner air, but it's better air than where I lived during my first marriage.
