When my son started all this testing, his doc told us that when his results came back, if he had ANY mutations, one or two, either way, that it was important to start testing on his brothers, my hubby, and myself. She also said that it was important for us to mention to family members that all of his first cousins should definitely be tested, and wouldn't hurt for the rest of his cousins either. but immediate and first cousins were important.
Maybe you should just mention this to her, that because of your child it's very important for him to be tested, if nothing else as a precaution, so he if he did have cf they can start treating him immediately.
