The Shakes

I have no idea what is going on here. I just started my TOBI last night and all day today after I cough I start shaking uncontrollably. It is so weird. I feel like my heart is racing and my whole body is shaking but not visibly shaking - if that makes sense. So on top of not being able to breathe because of the tightness caused by the TOBI I am now shaking like a leaf to boot. I am a freaking mess!!

Has anyone else experienced the shakes after coughing?

I don't know if it is something I should call my DR about or just let it go. It's Saturday and I know no one is in the office anyway so I have no idea how to get ahold of him and I don't want to go to my local ER since they are ignorant to CF.

Oh and I guess I should add that my cough is very productive sounding but I can't get more than a dime sized amount out at a time. It's like it is stuck to my walls in there and I have tried the vest for over an hour with HTS and the acapella and huffing and nothing is working <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif" border="0">

It can't hurt to try to call the doc. On the weekends my clinic always has a message that plays and gives the number to the paging operator who can have the on call pulmonologist call me. If the on call person is no help I demand to speak to MY doc.

bittyhorse,
If you are concerned at all, I would call. You don't have to be polite, this is your health. Don't worry about bothering someone, that is their job. The only time I have the shivers is when I am getting ill. It is more like being very cold and not being able to get warm. We love ya, trust your instincts.

Did you do too much albuterol? I don't know what else what cause that. If you call your doc, and it's after hours, do they have a call center that can get a hold of him?
