The Vest while sleeping

Warwick also told us that Aidan can do the VEST while sleeping. He has fallen asleep with it on before even with a very high pressure of 90%.
Amy- what pressure and settings do you use? Our two year old is now tolerating 90% with no problems that we can see. We use QuickStart. Thanks

DS has fallen asleep a couple of times while doing the vest, but rarely. He might miss something on TV.

Like I said, in the morning I still do manual CPT. Mainly because the alarm goes off at 6 a.m. and I know DS sleeps thru that. We actually don't wake him up until 7:30 a.m. if he isn't already up. Feel it's important that he gets that extra hour and a half of sleep. Might be tempted to give it a try on the weekend. It'd be great if it worked to do it that way when one of us is out of town, but I'd hate to have him have a rude awakening. Sleeping peacefully and suddenly ----ratatatatatat.

well it varies on what people can tolerate.

i get horrible side aches if i go higher than 70%. Warwick told me that I should just go as high as I can tolerate.

I use the Quickstart as well

Amy, I dont know if we are using the "right" settings or not. We are using the ones the doctor at the hospital told us to use.

What is the Quickstart?

Quick start is available on the new model not the older ones. Read Amy's old blog's to find out how to set up the settings.

Our 5 yr old usually does his first breathing treatment asleep, doesn't even wake up-- then he'll tell me "Hey mom we didn't do my b.t. "(breathing treatment) I am glad he can sleep thru it.

If done correctly, there should be concious coughing every 5 minutes or so while using the Vest. Again I'll refer you to my blog.

Debbie - for settings, I'll refer you to my blog with Dr. Warwick's letter.
