The vest

I know I've heard a million times that the vest is ok to use while pregnant, but is there a certain frequency or pressure pregnant women should be using? My husband was watching me do the vest last night, & was very nervous about it hurting the baby. I told him it was fine, but then I got to worrying.....
So, what is the highest frequency/pressure we can use? Anyone know? I'm using the highest settings now on the Encourage system.
Thanks for your help!

I don't think there have been any studies on pregnant women using the vest. That being said, I have never heard that it was unsafe or that it could possibly hurt the baby. I am still using it on the frequencies that I always have used. And the same pressures. I am not sure how mine will work when I have a huge belly since I have the "smart vest" and I don't think they have a chest vest. But I do plan on calling them soon and ordering a size medium instead of the small since it will allow some more girth

If you think about it, it isn't really affecting your abdomen - the vibrations are targeted to your lungs. But I think its right to question things when it comes to the safety of our babies. I had a mild panic the other night when "shaken baby syndrome" crossed my mind. But I talked myself down

Yes there's no problem with the Vest. The baby barely feels it I'm guessing. More likely they will hear it. I exercised up until the end - high impact aerobics - that was far more "jarring" for the baby than the Vest. He came out full term (39 weeks, 4 days), 7 lbs. 10 oz., 19 inch long. It's far more dangerous for you not to be doing mucus clearance than to continue your Vest. Yes, that's me in the video. You can see even on a high setting my belly is barely giggling...and remember the baby is in a balloon of water which makes for a comfortable ride for your LO.
