Wow, kind of an odd pairing there (NSYNC and Tim McGraw).

I've had a song that I can't get out of my head since hearing about littledebbie. It's
<a target=_blank class=ftalternatingbarlinklarge href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m4tcRlHY-3Q">"Waiting for my real life to begin"</a> by Colin Hay (yes, of Men at work).

I was introduced to this song by "Scrubs" (yes, the TV show). In one episode, a terminal patient is talking to J.D. about death. The patient thinks death will be like a Broadway musical, everyone all dressed up and singing.

<a target=_blank class=ftalternatingbarlinklarge href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=77VBBU1RNWo&mode=related&search=">Great scene</a>

Probably not what you were going for in this thread, but I can't get the song out of my head.

BTW, I'm sorry if I don't have any line breaks in this message, I don't know why my posts show up that way. Any help would be appreciated.

Nice choice Terri.

Liked the original of this by Cyndi Lauper, but this is by far my favourite version.

DArby, that was a great song--I think debbie would've loved it! I thought the words were great:

WAITING FOR MY REAL LIFE TO BEGIN
Album : "Going Somewhere"
(written by: Colin Hay / Thom Mooney)
Colin Hay

Any minute now, my ship is coming in
I'll keep checking the horizon
I'll stand on the bow, feel the waves come crashing
Come crashing down down down, on me

And you say, be still my love
Open up your heart
Let the light shine in
<b>But don't you understand
I already have a plan
I'm waiting for my real life to begin </b>

<b>When I awoke today, suddenly nothing happened
But in my dreams, I slew the dragon
And down this beaten path, and up this cobbled lane
I'm walking in my old footsteps, once again
And you say, just be here now
Forget about the past, your mask is wearing thin
Let me throw one more dice
I know that I can win
I'm waiting for my real life to begin </b>

Any minute now, my ship is coming in
I'll keep checking the horizon
And I'll check my machine, there's sure to be that call
It's gonna happen soon, soon, soon
It's just that times are lean

And you say, be still my love
Open up your heart, let the light shine in
Don't you understand
I already have a plan
I'm waiting for my real life to begin

QUITE A POEM--DON'T YOU THINK!
