Hi all...I have been working from home this week and received an email today that really made me mad...but then I started thinking about how I'm glad that I have the option to work from home and that I CAN work....so I made a list of thie things I'm thankful for and thought I would share it with you since it made me feel better. I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
I am thankful for:
1. Another year spent with each of you.
2. My sister - for agreeing with me when I think mom is crazy! She has been a wonderful aunt/sister to my daughter and a great friend to me!
3. Being 36, about to be 37, and having a new perspective that is allowing me to wish for 40!
4. Being able to work. Sometimes it sucks, sometimes it rocks, but mostly, just that I am still able makes me happy.
5. My friends! Some of you I have known for only a short time and others for what seems like forever! But you have all impacted me and made my life better!
6. Finally getting tattooed...enough said!
7. Looking forward to another (tattoo).
8. For not fitting into my "skinny" jeans.
9. My brother. Or should I say "my crazy brother". He has been and continues to be the source of great laughter, even in the face of grave circumstance! I'd like to especially thank him for showing our family the way "Happy Birthday" should be sung!
10. My brother's fiancé. Thought it would take my brother longer to find someone to love as much. My brother seems so happy and seeing them together makes me smile and reminds me just how great love is.
11. Being able to laugh, both at others and myself - sometimes so hard I cry!
12. My grandma and the fact that she is finally getting hearing aids so that we can't talk about her anymore (well, at least while she's in the room! )
13. George Clooney. Nice eye candy.
14. My Dad - he took on the challenge of the "package deal" - me and my mom. He taught me the meaning of family and the power of a positive outlook.
15. Being able to cry - it means I am still here, still fighting, still caring!
16. My dog. She listens to the things I can't say to anyone else and keeps my feet warm at night.
17. My aunt. I am glad she's so interested in LOTR so that my daughter had someone to talk to about it!
18. Being angry. It gives me the strength the fight!
19. My Mom - supermom of all momkind! I don't know where I'd be without her. You don't know the meaning of strength until you meet her!
20. Being stupid. It makes me feel like a kid again most of the time, but sometimes, it just makes me feel stupid (see #11 above about laughing).
21. My husband, my best friend, and the saint of all saints. Where does he find the strength to put up with me? This past year has been trying for us both, but just when I think I have finally pushed him away, he is holding on even tighter than ever! I thank him for loving me in spite of all my faults. I thank him for loving and supporting our daughter! I love him for taking on the "package". I just love him.
22. For winning the lotto! Okay - so we've only won like $3, but a win's a win. I would be ever so thankful though if we were to win the jackpot!
23. My daughter. She is the greatest gift I have ever been given. I am thankful she still wants me around and will acknowledge me in public, despite my mistakes. She is just starting to spread her wings and I can't wait to see her fly!
24. For what has been, what is, and what might be. The ride has been great and I'm looking forward to seeing what's around the next curve! I just wish it wouldn't go so fast!
25. You, and you, and you , and you, and you..I hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving and has as much to be thankful for as I do!
