Hi,
my daughter just started on HTS a few weeks ago and I've noticed lately that she's complaining of being thirsty alot.... she'll down a whole sippy cup and want more to drink. Has anyone else noticed this with the HTS or should I think about getting her tested for diabeties? She's been on Pulmozyme for over a year and I noticed someone else posting about diabeties being a side effect of Pulmozyme? Any thoughts???

Thanks!

Me too, lol ..
Yes its the salt, I keep a cup of coffee or ice water
close when I do mine.

HTS is works well, but it tastes like every Ocean you have ever
swam in. So I think she is just trying to get that taste out of her
mouth. It tastes bad to adult so it must really taste awful to a Child.

I would say it is most likely the HTS. Salt makes you thirsty in my experience.... <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">

Emily pounds down a cup or two of water while doing her nebulizer treatments, too. She nebs saline (we are in the ISIS study, so I don't know if it's HTS right now or now, but it was prior to entering the study...) and pulmozyme, and both make her thirsty. We keep a water bottle or something handy.

I'll bet it's just the HTS doing it to your little one, too.
